My Approach
I believe in human resiliency and the power within us to overcome any challenge life throws at us. You are strong and powerful! I have over a decade of experience working with survivors of trauma and individuals experiencing challenges with functioning in their daily lives in the form of depression and anxiety. I have also supported first and second generation immigrants as they navigate the challenges of acculturation and biculturalism, an experience that I know too well myself. I utilize a multicultural perspective in my work because I believe culture plays a crucial role in how we experience the world around us.
I work from a strengths-based and client-centered approach, meeting clients where they are and supporting their walk through the path of healing and transformation. I am trained in a variety of empirically validated treatment modalities such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy, Multicultural and Client Centered Approaches.
